Currently in Los Angeles, beloved pets are left vulnerable when immigrant families face sudden separation. These animals, who are beloved family members, can end up frightened, homeless, or at risk of euthanasia.

VIDA exists to stand beside them. We provide support for displaced pets and strengthen the vital work of shelters, rescues, and community groups already on the front lines.

Our mission sits at the crossroads of legal and animal advocacy. By creating a community of legal aid, veterinary care, and emergency foster homes, VIDA works to create safety nets for both people and their animals.

Family bonds, however they are defined, should be protected when they’re needed the most. At VIDA, we are committed to extending compassion, dignity and care for every living being caught in moments of crisis.
